The
Deal Golf & Country Club celebrated its centennial in 1998. Over the
years many prominent players have come from Deal or played there in
important amateur and professional events. In that time the course
never engaged in a restoration or renovation program. The bunkers have
become worn and misshaped, and many drainage problems existed due to the
site conditions, and the limited attention given these details during
the original construction.
Kelly Blake Moran Golf Course Architects completed a master plan of
improvements for the total course. Implementation of the plan began in
2000 and was mostly completed by 2003. |
